Old master, new vibe
In Rubens' time, a cabinet was a cupboard or room filled with unique artworks and objects. Today, the Rubenshuis translates this idea into a contemporary experience with The Cabinet Sessions. Four times a year, local artists take centre stage, curating a bold and original program that draws you into the painter’s intimate world. Because beyond being an extraordinary talent, Rubens was also a trendsetter and innovator.
Carefully curated, with a twist
Every year, the Rubenshuis entrusts the cabinet to an inspiring curator. In 2025, music collective and artist platform B-Classic takes the reins. B-Classic reimagines classical music, exploring how it is created and experienced - both today and in the past. Through their initiative Studio Classic, B-Classic gives classically trained musicians the space to compose and experiment. Discover their talents during The Cabinet Sessions.
First edition
On 7 March, artist platform B-Classic, visual artist Bertrand Desmaricaux and Instagram sensation The Gaze will set the stage for a spectacular first edition.
