The collections of the Rubens House, Rubenianum and Museum Mayer van den Berg together offer a comprehensive survey of a very illustrious and crucial period in Flemish art and culture, namely the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Baroque.
They are located within short distance of each other, each working in a historical building with an exceptional collection. Together they serve a very diverse audience by combining their expertise: they target local and international audiences, both interested amateurs and professionals.
Achieve more while remaining unique
Working together allows the three institutions to achieve more while remaining unique. The collaboration can be summarised as follows:
- combining expertise and making it available to a diverse audience. The Rubenianum for example organises conferences in line with ongoing exhibitions or projects in the Rubens House and Museum Mayer van den Bergh;
- coordinating communication with each other;
- offering a combination ticket for the two museums;
- developing a joint events programme: the programme of lectures and exhibitions and the holiday workshops of the three institutions is coordinated.
